At this year’s AGM, members will:

• elect four Board members
• consider motions submitted by members
• hear about Auckland Pride’s progress and proposed new strategic plan
• share kai and connect with the Auckland Pride team and each other

• 28 September: Board applications close
• Early October: Candidate information shared with members
• 10 October: AGM and Board election

Apply to join the Board

Applications are now open for four elected Board positions.

Joining the Board is an opportunity to help guide Auckland Pride through its next chapter, working alongside our members, Te Rōpū Māori and kaimahi to support Takatāpui and Rainbow Communities to lead and influence an equitable Aotearoa through transformational storytelling.

We welcome applications from people who connect with Auckland Pride’s purpose and can contribute their skills, perspectives and time to its governance. We are particularly seeking people with governance experience and welcome applications from those who have developed this through formal, community or kaupapa-based settings. We encourage applications that reflect the diversity of our communities.

Applications close at 11.59pm on 28 September 2026.

Applicants will be asked to provide a short statement for members. Eligible applicants will then stand for election at the AGM.

Renew your membership

Only current members can vote in Board elections or on motions.

Please check or renew your membership by 24 September 2026 at membership.aucklandpride.org.nz.

Voting will take place at the AGM. If you cannot attend, you may appoint another member attending the AGM to vote on your behalf by proxy. Further information about proxy voting will follow.

Submit a motion

Current members can put forward motions for consideration at the AGM. Further information about how to submit a motion, including the closing date, will follow.
